I Spy: the Frog that Caught My Eye

Yesterday I played the game of “I Spy” at Gallagher Creek Park. I was doing a botanical survey, trying to record all the plant species present at the park. I found some patches of cool plants, but this little amphibian caught my eye.

This little frog caught my eye. It is only about an inch long. I saw it hop from one leaf to another. The gray-green color of the frog was just different enough from the plant leaf that I could spot it. Otherwise I would have missed it completely!

The frog waited patiently while I snapped a few pictures. Or  just waiting for lunch … an unsuspecting insect!

I’ll have to do some investigation to figure out what species this frog is. If you have an idea, let me know in the comments below!
