We are cancelling the forest cleanup workday scheduled for tomorrow, March 14 at Stony Creek Ravine Nature Park. The tires that we hoped to remove from the woodlands along Stony Creek are still frozen to the ground or buried under 3-6 inches of snow.

This tire would probably be hard enough to remove without the frozen soil. Don’t rest easy, though, Mr. Tire. We’ll be back for you soon.

The forest cleanup workday at Blue Heron Environmental Area next Tuesday morning is also cancelled. With the coldest February on record for this area, it might be a little while before we get enough frost out of the ground.
