Where should we add trails, playgrounds, and other improvements to enhance our parks while protecting our natural areas? What are the best places for prairie and oak savanna restoration? How can we best plan for our future needs?
What can you do? We would like your input on concept drawings for improvements at Bear Creek Nature Park, Blue Heron Environmental Area, Charles Ilsley Park, Cranberry Lake Park, Draper Twin Lake Park, Gallagher Creek Park, Lost Lake Nature Park, Marsh View Park, Stony Creek Ravine Park and Watershed Ridge Park, almost all of them! Part of our 5 year master planning process, this open house is your chance to give us your opinion on how you would like to see the parks change and grow in the next 5 years. And there will be snacks!
For more information visit http://www.oaklandtownship.org/newsdetail_T3_R71.php, or visit the master planning web page: http://www.jhles.com/OTMP/. The master planning webpage has a draft copy of the master plan for your review and comment. An excellent opportunity to give us your input!
